Larry Vickers on What Makes a Gun Guy in the Special Operations Community

Vickers Tactical highlights what makes the pros what they are from their special operations experience.

Larry Vickers speaks to what got him so interested in firearms and makes him a gun guy with his former special operations buddy.

Not every operator becomes a gun guy during their career. While each member has to be highly proficient at firearms there are always a handful of guys who gravitate to becoming subject matter experts on small arms use, training and employment in combat.

These few are the ones who will gravitate to their training academies between operational work or for their final years in the military. They live and breathe firearms training and are at the pinnacle of their knowledge and skill, keeping other operators and support personnel alive through real-world gun training.

Go to Fort Bragg, Camp Lejeune or any other special operations training facility and these gun guys will form the core cadre of operator training courses and for a good reason; they keep their buddies alive in the most hostile places on earth.

Check out Vickers Tactical for their firearms training courses and tactical know-how.
