It’s spring, and the ice is melting on Lake Michigan…but that didn’t stop two kiteboarders in Muskegon.
Marc Hoeksema and Eric Hojnacki strapped a camera on some new Cabrinha FX kites and captured some amazing kiteboarding footage near the Muskegon breakwater at the mouth of the channel that links Lake Michigan to Muskegon Lake.
At times, they kiteboarded near, even on and over, the melting ice.
It was a good winter for people who enjoy viewing the ice build-up on Lake Michigan. However, things get dangerous when the ice starts melting near springtime.
Seems Hoeksema and Hojnacki found a way around that.
