Kansas Game Wardens Looking for Someone Who Dumped 18 Geese and Left Them to Rot

These geese were left to rot.

Nothing is worse than someone who shoots a game animal and then doesn't use the meat. The Kansas Game Wardens are looking for a person or persons who did just that.

Kansas Game Wardens were called to a scene in Atchison County last Monday, where 18 Canadian geese were illegally dumped the day prior. The birds were found at a Kanas Department of Transportation mixing strip. Wardens determined the birds had been dumped sometime between Sunday afternoon and Monday evening, because the birds had been dumped after a snow fell Sunday.

All 18 geese had no meat taken and were simply left to rot. Unfortunately a local investigation by the wardens and members of the Kansas Highway Patrol has not turned up any leads and the wardens are now turning to the public for help.

Wardens attached this map of the area the geese were found.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Operation Game Thief line at (877) 426-3843. Callers have the option to remain anonymous.
