If you are lucky enough to tag a bird this spring, consider plucking and deep frying it.

Jase is right. To ensure a tasty turkey without explosions you should:

  • Make sure your turkey is completely thawed.
  • Turn off the burner while placing the bird in the oil.
  • Deep fry your turkey outside.
  • Always have a fire extinguisher on hand. Especially if you have an uncle named Si.

Your deep frying experience doesn’t have to turn out like Si’s. Hang on a minute and think before you fry.
