Most of us know a few of the "more popular" trees or types of wood out there, but, if you really want to consider yourself an outdoorsman, you're going to need to get to know your forest a little better than that.
The infographic below beautifully shows off 52 different types of wood beside pictures of the trees that each kind of wood comes from. It also gives some helpful information about the trees. Take a look!

Knowing this type of information, or even just using this as a starting point to learn about the different types of trees and their uses, can be a really great tool to have. Whether you are planning to use the trees and wood for survival, or, like me, you are turning the trees into custom game calls, it's nice to know what kind of wood you like.
