Inflatable tents might make a camper out of some of us yet.
One of the biggest drawbacks in heading to the vast escape of wilderness is working out how you are going to spend the night once you get there. If you are like me, figuring out the tent situation is something that you start to dread before you even leave the driveway.
Well, inflatable tents just might make this inevitable problem ancient history.
Featured in the latest edition of Outdoor Technology are the easy inflatable tents from Heimplanet. As you are about to see in this video, setup is a snap, on average in under one minute, and they look pretty cool, too.
Easily packable, easily inflatable, and therefore, easy to set up…sign me up.
The crazy design of these tents is actually what gives them such a strong shell. Heimplanet calls this a geodesic design. What that means to all you non-scientific campers is that the odd design is what gives it support and structure. By connecting the shortest line between any two points on the tent, coupled with the inflatable frames, you get one heck of an awesome tent.
So what do you think? Could you see yourself sleeping out in the woods inside one of these blow-up tents?
At least you would be covered in a flash flood.
