This unlicensed hunter payed the ultimate price by being mauled to death by the lion he was targeting.
A group of five men hunting a private game farm near Kruger National Park in South Africa became the hunted this week after being attacked by the own animal they had their sights on.
None of the men were in possession of a hunting license.
Matome Mahlale, 24, was mauled to death by a lion they were chasing, as were two dogs that were accompanying the group.
Three men were able to climb a tree to safety while another was able to escape unharmed, according to local police spokesman Colonel Ronel Otto.
Locals admit not many will feel sorry for the deceased, after the killing of the lion named Cecil on July 1 caused national outrage and condemnation.
