These clueless motorists honked at an approaching elephant while visiting Mozambique’s Maputo Game Reserve. As you can see, that was a bad idea.
The elephant spotted them from a good distance away and quickly turned and headed towards the truck, clearly agitated. As it got closer and closer, these tourists did the worst thing possible: they honked their horn at the elephant. Not surprisingly, the elephant did not take kindly to this insult.
Watch the video to see what the elephant did in response.
All the tourists did when they honked their horn at this elephant was tick it off. Trust me when I say that you don’t want to deal with an angry elephant and these tourists got a firsthand lesson about the sheer strength and power of elephants when this one rolled their car multiple times.
The tourists survived the encounter, but their truck did not. The elephant thrashed the truck so badly that a piece of its tusk broke off in it!
Keep this in mind if you ever visit Kruger Park or any of the other big game viewing areas in Africa. The animals there are wild and are easily capable of causing severe injury or death if you’re not careful.
