A hunting gear company pushes for the big time with some outside help.
Hunter’s Specialties, Inc., a popular manufacturer and supplier of a wide variety of hunting gear, was recently acquired by Peak Rock Capital.
Based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Hunter’s Specialties, Inc. was founded in 1977 by David and Carman Forbes. The company has since become one of the leading suppliers of hunting gear in the country. The line of products from the company includes game calls, scent control products, wildlife management products, and other general hunting accessories.

Hunter’s Specialties, Inc. also created several high-profile brands within the hunting gear industry including Vita-a-Rack, Johnny Stewart, HS Strut, and Scent-a-Way.
