Did you buy a hunting or fishing license online for Idaho, Oregon or Washington?

Your personal information might have been compromised.

Officials from those states say a vendor’s computer system was breached, and the breach could affect millions. Active Network in Dallas has mailed notices to those who purchased a license in the affected states.

“They’ve only been able to confirm that it was possible that personal information was accessed,” Idaho Department of Fish and Game spokesman Mike Keckler says. “We do not know yet whether or not that actually occurred, and we may not ever know.”

Online sales of hunting and fishing licenses have ceased until the extent of the breach has been determined.

Licenses remain on sale at all state wildlife offices and businesses that sell the licenses. Meanwhile, in Oregon, officials have been processing license requests from out-of-state hunters and anglers over the phone.
