A generous hunter saves a button buck from eventual death.
Typically, when managing a deer herd, antler size or age come to mind. This hunter saves a button buck’s life to live another day.
The button buck fought for his life when he saw the hunter, but evenutally realized the man in camo was there to save his life, not take it.
Often, you will read or see stories of deer attempting to cross a fence, and the worst happens. Not all deer are as lucky as this one. Fortunately, this hunter was in the right place at the right time.
Deeds like this, for once, give hunters a good reputation. If the opportunity presents itself, you should do the same. It might take some of your time, or it might be inconvenient, but it prevents a deer from dying and wasting.
