Humpback Whale Simulation Coming to a School Auditorium Near You [VIDEO]

The closest many students come to nature is a video in class.

What if they could see a humpback whale breech in the gymnasium?

The video, from GI Gadgets, a tech-media platform, shows a demonstration of technology from Magic Leap.

While the students in the video appear to simply see the whale, the actual technology is a head-mounted, virtual retina display that superimposes 3-D, computer-generated images over real-world objects—like a school gymnasium or auditorium.

Magic Leap’s technology is still being developed, but it might be a way to bring nature to students who can’t get into the wild.
