Huge Fish a Tiny Creek with a Broken Fly Rod (Don’t Worry, Orvis will Replace It)

Watch as this fly fisherman lands this steelhead but at the same time breaks his fly rod.

This fly fisherman hooks into a very substantial steelhead in a surprisingly small stream.

While he is ultimately successful, there is some drama that goes with the exciting catch and release of this silver bullet. But don’t worry, Orvis has got him covered.

While he has split his fly rod, which would normally leave an angler in a pretty bad mood, Orvis has a policy for many of its quality rods to fix or replace, no questions asked, for a 25-year period after the purchase.

This is another reason I have an Orvis rod and have registered with their company, as I have broken many other companies fly rods, mostly slamming them in car doors or truck tailgates over the years. Orvis provides a great warranty, so all I have to worry about is shipping the broken rod to them in Vermont after a few simple steps.

Pretty cool, especially when you can catch fish like this guy did and still get another rod to do it with again!
