This Howling Wolf In Yellowstone Will Give You Chills

Hearing a howling wolf in the wild is like no other experience on this planet.

For much of the 20th century, there were no wolves in Yellowstone. However, since wolves were reintroduced to the park in the 1990s, tourists may once again hear the sound of a howling wolf in Yellowstone National Park.

The wolf in this video was filmed near Soda Butte Creek in the Lamar Canyon in the northern part of the park. As you can see, the Lamar Canyon Wolf Pack had successfully killed eaten a large bull elk. After eating, the wolves in the area began howling back and forth while the ravens picked over the remains of the elk.

Check out the video to get a small taste of what it is like to hear a howling wolf in the wild.

I don’t know about you, but hearing the sound of that howling wolf was a chilling experience.

The elk and deer in Yellowstone probably have an even stronger reaction when they hear that sound.
