Always wanted to learn how to tie flies but never knew where to start?
We all know Texas fishing is great year round. So why not learn how to take your fishing experience and skills to the next level and learn how to tie your own flies for fly fishing?
Several times a month in Allen, Texas, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TWPD) volunteers from the Dallas Flyfishers Club provide free classes all about how to tie flies. The club brings supplies for all those who attend the class, but you are welcome to use your own supplies and tools if you have them.
The classes are always free, are held at Cabela’s on Highway 75 and are open to all beginners and novice fishers.
These classes are great for kids, as volunteers will be working one-on-one with each person to teach them the fly tying technique.
Harvest your inner creativity and jump outside the box. Learn how to jumpstart your own unique style of tying, even if you are past the years of childhood.
