Here’s the Primer You Need on Pitching Baits to Bass

The art of ‘pitching’ is a must-know technique if you want to boat more and bigger bass.

There are many different tactics and techniques when it comes to fishing for largemouth bass. None are more important, at least in my opinion, than the art of pitching.

In layman’s terms, ‘pitching’ is a controlled casting technique used to present a bait to a specific spot with a splashless entry. Targets are generally those of visible structure, such as docks, undercut banks, pads, weed edges, and laydowns.

Check out this easy-to-follow video that showcases the technique of pitching perfectly.

It does take a bit of practice, but once learnt, pitching will become a tactic you rely heavily on to boat more bass.

Give pitching a go this season and see what all the fuss is about. I can guarantee one thing – the fish will hate you for it.
