Minnesota’s New Antlerless Deer Requirements Explained

Minnesota’s new antlerless deer permit process is explained. 

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has announced Minnesota hunters who purchase a deer hunting licenses by September 8 are atomically entered into a lottery for antlerless deer permits if they declare to hunt in a lottery deer permit area.

For those interested in using a the antlerless tag, the Minnesota DNR encourages hunters to purchase their license after the Sep. 8th lottery deadline.

Hunters are able to apply using both their firearm and muzzleloader licenses. However, if the hunter is selected for both, they must select only one season to shoot an antlerless deer.
