Next time your phone dies, just put up your own portable wind turbine and charge it back up!
A West Virginia graduate has put together a new product that will change our trips to the park, work in the field, or camping ventures.
The collapsable Wisp reaches up to six feet but at the same time is designed to fold up and fit into a backpack. Wisp is the smallest, followed by Breeze, and then Cyclone whose exact specs haven’t been released.
However, we know they increase in size and wattage while each are still meant to be portable.
The Breeze is slightly larger than the Wisp with a 100 watt unit that is used to charge and supply power through a standard 12 volt outlet and standard USB. The Cyclone is the same except it holds a 400 Watt unit.
The units allow for an internal battery to be charged or that power to be used right away and straight to your phone.
Justin Chambers was able to bring about this product through Kickstarter offering Wisp to backers for 110$ and Breeze to backers at 225$ while the retail price has yet to be set.
