Guy Purposely Feels the String of a Tarantula Hawk Wasp so You Don’t Have to

What’s it like to get stung by the largest wasp in North America?

Coyote of Brave Wilderness has made a name for himself being bitten and stung by all sorts of critters on video. So, what could possibly make this guy nervous, when some of his past exploits include things like alligators and scorpions?

That would be being stung by the largest wasp species in North America, a nasty-looking insect with an equally sinster-sounding name: the Tarantula Hawk. You can decide for yourself whether this guy is crazy or brave in the video below.

The tarantula hawk is like something out of a horror movie with the crazy way it raises its young. Good thing these things only target tarantulas! Still, that looked quite painful. I know I never want to be stung by one of these after watching that.

Thanks, Coyote, for taking one for the team in the name of education. I hope I never run across one of these wasps in the wild!
