Guy Goes 'Magnet Fishing' in a Pond and Catches a Submachine Gun

Have you ever tried magnet fishing?

Now, I know, you're asking, "What the heck can you catch with a magnet?" Just watch the video and see what the Czech Diggers can attract in a shallow pond. If you're not sure exactly what you're seeing in this video, that's an MP 40 submachine gun. The first cast of the magnet pulls out a magazine for the gun.

The MP 40 was developed in Nazi Germany and used by the Axis powers during World War II.

Now, I don't speak Czech, but when they pull the MP 40 out of the muck and realize what they have, I swear the videographer says, "That's awesome!"

And it's hilarious to watch the magnet angler pretend to shoot it—and watching Jessie the pooch trying to help.

Now, finding the MP 40 probably means that the body of a Nazi soldier is in the pond, which is a bit creepy.

As one commenter puts it, "Now you have taken his possession. He is going to be mighty pissed. He might just crawl out of the pond and haunt you down."
