Great White Shark Filmed up Close off the Florida Coast

A Great White shark was caught on camera off the Florida coastline near Jacksonville.

As Team Buck Rogers Offshore Fishing Charters were fishing off the Jacksonville, Florida coastline, they had quite an encounter with a monster shark around 12 feet long.

Captain Chad Sterling said of the sighting that he’s seen countless shark incidents in his ten years of experience, but this is only the second time he’s seen a great white. It’s probably the only time he’ll ever seen one interacting this close to the boat.

Love them or hate them, the great white shark is the absolute alpha predator of the ocean. It is also a known man-eater on occasion. The video was filmed about 11 miles off the coast of northeast Florida.

As Captain Chad Starling rolled footage of a massive catch of red snappers, this great white approached and also saw an easy meal. Boom! After a very brief tug of war, this wolf of the ocean made out with a good meal. It then returns for more.
