Police in Michigan recently responded to an incident where a woman attacked her boyfriend with a sailfish. Read on to learn about this bizarre story.

Yes, you read that correctly: police in Whitehall, Michigan were called to a domestic violence incident involving a woman attacking her boyfriend with a sailfish.

Apparently, the 61-year-old man was drawing a sketch of a mounted sailfish when his 58-year-old girlfriend got upset with him for some reason. She moved the fish and left the room.

Shortly after she left, the mount fell over and broke. When she got back, she blamed her boyfriend for the damage to the sailfish and then proceeded to attack him with parts of the fish.

Specifically, she hit him over the head with the fish and poked him with the nose of the sailfish, which is a pretty effective weapon.

When the police responded, they quickly discovered that both people had been drinking, which undoubtedly contributed to the bizarre situation. Nobody was arrested, but the county prosecutor is considering filing charges.

The lesson here? Don’t drink and draw.
