Japanese giant hornets will fight to the death (and worse) for supremacy in the forest. This is what it looks like.
Armies of giant hornets swarming deep in the forests of Japan will do whatever it takes to put themselves atop the food chain and have dominance over their rivals.
When two competing war parties of these huge stinging warriors-with-wings meet on the battlefield, it’s all-out hell and anything goes.
Check out the video right here and prepare to wince:
Okay, who’s the guy who had that job? Japanese giant hornets can be almost two inches long with an even longer wingspan.
Is all that wing-buzzing, head-crunching sound really necessary? It is if you’re a giant hornet. It was freaky enough until you realize that they’re not trying to steal all the defeated nest’s queens, but instead… eat them.
Big thanks to the Smithsonian Channel for sharing this amazing albeit tough to watch video. Cheers to those who search the forests of the world to bring back nature to us!
