For a few weeks out of the year, all is right in Indiana when the Indianapolis Boat Sport and Travel Show comes to town.
Every year, normally during the last week of February to the first week of March, the Indianapolis Boat Sport and Travel Show makes its annual appearance at the Indianapolis Fair Grounds. This multi-day event attracts guests from all over the state, and even surrounding states, simply due to the abundance of fishing, boating, hunting, and outdoor products on display.
Starting Feb. 20 and ending March 1, plenty of events are on the schedule. For example, fishing guides and some fishing celebrities like Mike Iaconelli and Todd Hollowell, will be giving seminars for all things fishing. Special events like a K9 X-games show and even an incredible display of Chics with Axes will be sure to bring a crowd.
The Indianapolis Boat Sport and Travel Show normally attracts hundreds of thousands of patrons every year that walk through the acres upon acres of outdoor gear, boats, and sporting supplies. My personal favorite, Tackle Town, is typically where I spend most of my time and is often packed shoulder to shoulder for the entire event.
If you will be in the Indianapolis area during the last week of February and have any desire to get a leg up on the best new lures, rods, and outdoor gear for 2015, make sure you swing by the State Fair Grounds and see this extravaganza for yourself.
Be prepared to plan for time though. Once you go, you oftentimes get sucked right in for the whole day.
