Have you been looking for a new holster for your handgun? Frustrated by the seemingly endless options available? Your problems are about to be solved with a holster from Alien Gear Holsters.
I was recently sent a Cloak Tuck 2.0 IWB holster, their newest version, from Alien Gear Holsters to review and came away very impressed. Not only at the quality of the materials and construction, but also at the comfort and versatility that their holsters offer. I spent around two months with the holster and really put it through its paces. This is a great holster and comes with an even better price. Here’s why.

Out of the Box
As soon as I opened the box with my holster, I was very pleased with its looks and aesthetics. The more I inspected it, the more impressed I became. This is a high-quality holster and the craftsmanship can compete with any but the most expensive of holsters.
The Cloak Tuck 2.0 IWB is made out of a composite neoprene backing which offers an incredible amount of comfort straight out of the box. A common complaint with leather holsters is that they are not comfortable until they have been broken in via continuous use. That is not a problem with the Cloak Tuck 2.0, as the soft neoprene offers comfort without a need to break it in. The neoprene is also much better at dealing with sweat which is a great feature for those who carry their weapons against bare skin.
The holster’s shell is made from Kydex, a durable and waterproof type of thermoplastic. Shells are molded for specific varieties of handguns. This holster does not have a one size fits all type of shell. This is a great feature because it helps to protect your specific weapon’s sights and also allows for much better retention while carrying.
The clips are made from nylon and are extremely durable as demonstrated in the video from Alien Gear Holsters below.

On the Hip
As I have already mentioned, the Cloak Tuck 2.0 is an extremely comfortable holster to wear. They are designed to be tucked so you can even wear them while dressed professionally.
Alien Gear holsters also allow for users to make adjustments to various parts of the holster in order to ensure the perfect fit. The holster comes with a bag of hardware and a wrench that enables the user to easily make these adjustments.
The retention strength of the holster can be increased if desired using the supplied rubber spacers. Having the ability to adjust retention goes a long way towards ensuring the perfect draw for each individual user’s personal taste.
It is also possible to move the clips higher or lower on the holster. If a different tilt angle is desired, simply move one clip lower than the other one in the direction that you wish the holster to tilt. These kind of small features help to set Alien Gear holsters apart from other holster companies.
Pricing and Warranty
Even with all the features that I described above, the MSRP of the Cloak Tuck 2.0 IWB holster is an amazing $35.88. Do not let the low price of this holster fool you. It is an extremely high-quality and versatile piece of equipment and the low price only makes it better. Not to sound like an infomercial here, but wait… there’s more!
Whenever I am preparing to order a new product from a company, I always take into account their warranty policy. I use that policy as a way to judge a company’s faith in their product. If the product is made right and the company is proud of it, then there is no reason they shouldn’t offer a nice long warranty.
Well, Alien Gear Holsters does one better. They offer a limitless lifetime warranty on all of their holsters. If any part of one of their holsters breaks for any reason, including the clips, Alien Gear Holsters will replace that part at no cost to the consumer. There is a 30-day trial period for all of their holsters as well. If you don’t like your new holster for any reason within 30 days, just send it back for a full refund and no questions asked.
If you decide to start carrying a new type of pistol, Alien Gear has you covered as well. The company allows you to make unlimited trades for a new Kydex shell whenever you start carrying a new pistol. This is honestly a holster that will last you for life.
My final conclusion on the Alien Gear Holsters Cloak Tuck 2.0 IWB is that it is a great holster and anyone who is in the market for a holster would be foolish to not at least give one of them a try. The materials and craftsmanship are both top-notch, the holsters are made in America, and the price and guarantee are simply unbeatable.
I will be using Alien Gear Holsters myself until I find a better holster, and I don’t think that will happen any time soon.
