Full Review of the CMMG MkW Anvil 458 SOCOM

CMMG has released a new rifle, called the MkW Anvil, that can feed the .458 SOCOM round like an AR feeds the 5.56.

At least, that’s what CMMG says.

GY6vids put the rifle through its paces to see if it delivers like the company says.

Bottom line, the rifle delivers.

The Anvil uses CMMG’s Powerbolt design, which allows the use of a modified AR10-sized bolt. This increases durability and allows the rifle to shoot large-diameter rounds, like the .458 SOCOM, on a mid-sized AR platform.

The semi-automatic rifle delivers good accuracy, long- and short-range, with the bigger rounds.

And the rifle is built like an anvil. It’s tough, durable, like the bolt, and any parts that might break are AR15 components. Easy on the wallet.
