Foo-Foo Dog Meets a Wild Bobcat in Ontario

I don’t think this wild bobcat wanted to play…

All too often we assign our own emotions to wild animals by the way they act. This video of a wild bobcat suspiciously interested in a barking little foo-foo dog is a perfect example. A glass door separates the two animals but for some reason, the bobcat just doesn’t seem to want to run away, even when the dog’s owners are standing there taking pictures.

I don’t know about you, but something tells me it might be a harder winter in Ontario than other places and that wild bobcat was looking for something to eat. Had that door not been there, dog meat might have been on the menu.

Was that cat being playful or was that cat stalking prey? Most people don’t see bobcats all that often during the day, so there has to be a reason to see one this close.

Hopefully that cat isn’t hanging around just out of sight the next time Foo-Foo has to potty. He may not make it back inside.
