Flowing Lake received an early Christmas present: restocked rainbow trout populations.
The Seattle Times shared word that the Washington Fish and Wildlife Department planted 5,000 rainbow trout in Flowing Lake near Monroe, introducing some great holiday fishing opportunities for the area.
Many waterways around the country receive similar treatments this time of year in an effort to promote and continue the fishing industry through the winter season.

Trout added to Flowing Lake ranged from 10-12 inches. The daily limit of five trout may be met more easily now that the lake has been stocked.
