Florida has taken the first step towards increasing use of silencers for hunting.

Currently what lawmakers have now done is attempted to allow it so that you can hunt turkey, deer, rabbits and other game on land that is managed by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation.US-HUNTING-TEAM-mrec

This still has to go for one more vote, but the draft rule was unanimously approved. According to Florida Today, this already has been allowed in 32 other states so removing restrictions is all that FWC did.

Silencers are already allowed to hunt with on private land for certain species of game.

Hunters had asked FWC to look into allow the use of silencers in more circumstances and that was how the draft rule came about.

According to hunters, the use of silencers would encourage more youth hunting and provide protection for hearing.

Those who oppose the draft rule said it is because gunfire alerts them to the presence of hunters and fear stray bullets.

What do you think?  Should this draft rule pass?  Should it be something that is allowed in all states?  What type of game would it be ok to use this on? What animals should they not allow this to be used on?  Let us know why or why not in the comments below.
