After one weekend, the Illinois deer season of 2015 has had more harvests than last year to date.
According to reports, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources states there have been 58,000 deer killed from Nov. 20-22 in the Illinois deer season of 2015.
Last year the Illinois deer season only had 52,000 deer harvests during said weekend. Randolph County reported the most deer harvests at 1,619. Only four deer were taken in Lake County.
The muzzleloader season is Dec. 11-13, which is the second part of the deer season for the Prairie State.
