You need to see this feral hog double show with a crossbow in Texas’ Hill Country.
Two is better than one. When you’re talking about hunting doubles, the truth of that statement becomes even more apparent.
Why Are Feral Hogs Bad?
Think about it: if you’re harvesting two animals with one arrow or bullet, you’ve just saved yourself a significant portion of money.
Okay, maybe not that significant, but with the price and availability of ammo wavering, and the technology in arrows adding cost as well, “two birds with one stone” looks a whole lot more attractive.
Of course, we can’t all be that fortunate to be introduced with an opportunity, but with the feral hog situation exploding as it is, more chances at hog doubles present themselves with each new generation.
Keith Warren found that out while hunting in the Texas Hill Country, where hogs showed up on cue and in droves. The landowner gladly allows hunters to take as many as they want, so Warren aims for the elusive double.
He has a laser sight on his crossbow, which takes away from some of the difficulty, but this is nonetheless a pretty great shot. Patience and experience paid off.

Not too bad, huh?
The ongoing issue of the feral hog, and invasive species in America, will likely present more of these types of opportunities, as long as you’re in the right place at the right time.
Think you could pull it off?
