It’s not often that you hear of a dentist bagging a monster buck. It recently happened in New York, where Mili Irizarry de Buschatzke tagged a 15-pointer.
Irizarry de Buschatzke, a dentist from the town of Cazenovia, N.Y., and a veteran outdoorswoman, is in the midst of an incredible deer-hunting season. She recently tagged a monster 15-point buck with her muzzleloader.
She was hunting near the town of Lebanon in Madison County, which is in central New York.
“I hunted with my trustworthy Omega .50 caliber muzzleloader,” Irizarry de Buschatzke said. “He came to me all by himself. I shot him at about 80 yards away. He went down on the spot.”
More from Wide Open Spaces:
While tagging the 15-point buck is quite an accomplishment in itself, she also tagged a nice eight-point buck on the opening day of rifle season this year.
Irizarry de Buschatzke obviously has a really nice spot picked out because she shot the 15-point buck near the same place she bagged the eight-pointer.
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Irizarry de Buschatzke is no stranger to the fame associated with hunting success. She was on the cover of the 2003-2004 “New York Hunting and Trapping Regulation Guide.” The cover photo featured her alongside yet another eight-point buck she tagged, this one with a 20-gauge shotgun.
At this time, there is no word on the Boone and Crockett score of this monster 15-point buck.
