Fast and Furious Norway: Tanks Doing a Tokyo-Style Drift on Ice

Watch the M1A1 Abrams Tank pull a Tokyo-Style drift on the ice in Norway.

If you’ve seen the Fast and Furious movies, you know about the Tokyo-Style drift that was the main focus of the third movie, but those guys didn’t have tanks.

Check out this clip below featuring some skilled tank drivers as they are able to drift on the massive sheets of ice at a facility in Rena, Norway.

According to the Youtube user, these tanks were operated by U.S. Marine tankers, working with the Norwegian Telemark Battalion, and as you saw they are perfecting their Tokyo-Style drift skills.

This exercise was executed with the goal of training  “the troops to be proficient in cold weather operations as well as develop bilateral interoperability with Norway’s military in the face of Russian aggression.”

Now that you’ve watched this video you know that the Tokyo-Style drift doesn’t apply solely to fast cars, tanks can have fun drifting too.
