How Far Can a Rabbit Bitten by a Diamondback Rattlesnake Go? About This Far

Here's a great video showing a diamondback rattlesnake doing what a rattler does best: strike and eat.

When you first start the video you may think that the rabbit is just trying to stay a step ahead of the snake, but then you will realize that the strike has already happened and it's only a matter of time for the bunny.

Here's the patient-as-a-snake video:

Hopefully, the guy taking the video backed away and let that big rattler eat in peace. Rattlesnakes get a bad rap, but they eat everything from mice and rats, rabbits and gophers to ground dwelling birds and lizards.

Since they hunt mostly in the evening and at night the biggest threat to people is disturbing them while they are at rest.

Be smart and safe in rattler country and you may get some rare video much as this.
