Facebook Fishing Group Hauls Help for Harvey Victims

The 210 Fishing group is a place on Facebook for Texas anglers to share fishing pics and stories.

However, with Hurricane Harvey decimating the Houston area, the group has gone from sharing fish tales to help. The San Antonio-based fishing group boasts nearly 28,000 members. And they put out the call for help because they fish in places affected, such as Corpus Christi, Rockport and Port Aransas.

"For a lot of us here, Corpus, Rockport, Port Aransas ... it's almost a second home to a lot of us," says Michael Enriquez, the group's administrator. "We fish those waters on a regular basis so when something happens like this, we want to make sure we get in touch and see what we can do to help."

The group filled a 53-foot trailer with food, diapers and water. Water was most important to the fishing group, because many areas still didn't have running water after the hurricane.

Other group members were on the ground in Houston. Rather, they were on the floodwaters in their boats, rescuing people and pets.
