Extra Screw Holes In That Vintage Rifle? Larry Potterfield Shows Us How He Fills Them

A vintage rifle with extra screw holes can be an eye sore.

When you come across a vintage Winchester Model 1894 rifle made in 1899 that someone drilled extra screw holes for a scope mount, you just want to cry.

No worries though, Larry Potterfield from Midway USA shows us how to fill in these holes like they were never there.

With patience and a steady hand, Larry fills in these holes, welds them up, and files them smooth. Refinishing the barrel is a lesson in patience to get the right color.

When it is done, Larry’s vintage rifle looks like it never had those unsightly screw holes.
