Examining the Old School British Safari Back Up Pistol the Lancaster Howdah [VIDEO]

In the height of the British Crown, the Lancaster Howdah pistol was the back up handgun of choice.

During the late 1800s, British gunsmith Charles Lancaster custom-made these beauties.

You can see three of these amazing handguns in this great video.

The extremely interesting Lancaster Howdah pistol was the choice backup for the well-to-do British officer or big game hunter. Offered in two or four barrel selections, these pistols operate almost like a break action shotgun.
