Most anglers know how a cast net works, but few have seen it underwater.
A cast net is used to catch several fish by simply tossing it into the water and letting it fall onto unsuspecting fish.
Check out this cool clip, filmed from a unusual perspective, of a cast net as it falls into the water.
After watching this clip, you can see how a cast net does its magic underwater. Didn’t it resemble a large jellyfish as it fell deeper into the water?
Once the net gets to a certain depth, the user must pull on a rope that then collapses and traps fish that are underneath it. It’s a great way to catch bait fish right off the dock.
If you don’t have a cast net, consider buying one for your next fishing trip.
