Have You Ever Seen a Hairless Deer That Looks Just Like E.T.?

This definitely falls into the category of bizarre. Check out this hairless and wrinkled Pennsylvania deer that is a shoe-in for E.T.

A hunter in Chester County, Pennsylvania, harvested a buck deer last season that had heads turning.

Completely hairless, and with copious amounts of wrinkles, the buck appeared otherwise in good health.

After Diane Horst Bachmon posted the images to her Facebook page, the thread was shared over 46,000 times. Many also chimed in with theories.

The top three are: mange, Chronic Wasting Disease, and genetic defect.

An official with the Game Commission believed the deer had a freak genetic defect. The department planned to pick up the animal for testing.

The story has now faded into obscurity, but a quick search on the internet brings up a few hairless deer that have been found over the years.

What do you think happened to this fella? One thing is for certain: this buck won’t be phoning home.
