We all try to get the coyotes in close but if you’ve ever had a coyote jump in your lap you may want to rethink your strategy.
One of the biggest challenges we face as hunters is trying to get an animal close enough for a shot. For every hunt that ends with an animal being harvested there are probably at least ten hunts where the hunter just could not get the animal close enough.
That was not the problem for these hunters while they were out coyote hunting. They got a coyote coming in on a hunt and he never stopped coming; all the way into one of the guy’s lap.
Check it out!
This looks quite exciting on film and I have to imagine it was even more so in person; the hunter did an amazing job of staying calm during the entire thing.
He had the wisdom to remember that he was holding his loaded gun and that he needed to focus on making sure that he held on to the gun and kept it pointed in a safe direction.
If you’ve ever had a coyote jump in your lap (which 99 percent of us have not) you will know that maintaining calm is not the easiest thing to do.
Hats off to him and we are happy to report that he was able successfully harvest the very same coyote just a few minutes later.
