In Europe, Eagle Owls Like Landing on Human Heads Better Than Tree Branches [VIDEO]

Did this eagle owl just attack a woman, or is this lady’s head an owl perch by choice?

There’s a little town called Noordeinde in the Netherlands that appears to be the home of a certain owl that prefers people’s heads as a place to rest over a tree branch.

The eagle owl is a native of Europe and parts of Asia. Being the largest of the owl species, it is obviously a powerful predator of predominately small mammals and birds.

Having one land on your head is an experience better had while wearing a helmet. This particular bird is well-known among locals as a friendly, non-aggressive bird of character.

Had she been wearing rabbit fur hat, then all bets would have been off.
