Boat racing has never been the safest sport. Here is one great example why.
Some of the backwater areas in which popular boat racing events take place leave very little room for error.
Moving at high speeds with one man in the front and another steering in back means that one wrong move can cause serious harm to both participants.
Watch what happens to this crew when they misjudge a turn during this backwater race.
Now that is a close call. These two are lucky they didn't decapitate themselves on those tree branches. Certainly there were many things that could have caused this race to end with a trip to the emergency room.
These folks must have had an angel looking out for them.
