This video from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute shared by National Geographic shows a really rare sight. This blind deep sea ghost shark is at home in the darkness and heavy pressures of the deep abysses.

The ghost sharks are quite at home at depths of 6700 feet down. A submersible was the cameraman to catch this curious ghost shark. These primitive sharks are said to predate the age of the dinosaurs.

The deepest oceans and seas still harbor many mysteries and creatures yet to be discovered. With new technologies coming to scientific research that will improve our chances of catching creatures from the deep on camera.
