Bugling Elk Helps His Lady Friends Cross a Busy Intersection [VIDEO]

Running into elk is an all-too-common occurrence in the western portion of the United States. Watch one stop traffic to let its herd cross.

This testosterone-driven bugling elk lets all those around know this is his herd.

And stops traffic in the process.

Even though the light was green, there wasn’t anywhere to go until this bull finished doing exactly what he needed, which was letting his lady friends cross the intersection. This bull and his herd likely found himself a safe haven within the city limits.

While these creatures are very tolerable of most human actions, they can still be very dangerous in certain situations. Bulls will do whatever it takes to protect their own when they feel threatened; this one would have likely charged anything that crossed its path.

His display of dominance and bugle ringing through this group of cars is pretty amazing.
