I imagine everyone reading this has heard the term “eat crow” before, but would you really eat it?
A lot of hunters believe in eating what you kill. However, does that mean everything killed in a hunting season is edible? Would you feel obligated to eat crow because you killed one during crow season?
I suppose just about every wild animal is safe to eat. The question is, does it taste any good?
The guys at Total Outdoor Programming put it to the test, and fried up some crow over an open fire.
Crow are known to eat just about anything they come across, but I’m not sure if what they eat would carry over to the taste of their own meat. The Total Outdoor Programming guys discovered, in this case, that it tastes similarly to goose or duck.
I have eaten a lot of different types of wild game meat, but I don’t think I would have the stomach to try crow just because I know exactly what I’m eating. Do you have any crow recipes that you love?
