Eagles' QB Carson Wentz Buys Offensive Linemen Shotguns as Christmas Gifts

Carson Wentz shares his love for the outdoors with offensive linemen, buying each a Beretta shotgun for Christmas.

Carson Wentz, the 24-year-old rookie quarterback with the Philadelphia Eagles, has a deep love for hunting and the great outdoors. He even shares that passion by joining Eagles season ticket holder and two-time American League MVP, Mike Trout, on hunting adventures.

As a way of showing thanks, and to spread his love for the outdoors with others, Wentz bought each of his offensive linemen Beretta shotguns as Christmas gifts this year. Each of the Silver Pigeon models, which retail for $2,000, were to be engraved with the lineman's jersey number.

"This is an awesome gun," Eagles guard/tackle Allen Barbre told ESPN.com."I'm excited about it. I don't know if I'll shoot it, though. It's pretty nice."

It's great to see a professional athlete, and avid outdoorsman, share his passion with his teammates. Besides, who wouldn't mind finding a $2,000 shotgun under the tree this Christmas?
