Erica and Jeremy Yost take their Brittany, Lia, out for an epic snowy pheasant hunt.
“Some days, they flush wild. Some days, they sure hold tight,” Pheasants Forever Facebook page posted.
This rooster held tight right up until the hunters practically stepped on it.

Of course, without the help of Lia, their bird dog, they may have never found this rooster hunkered down underneath the thick snow.
Erica Yost is the Pheasants Forever farm bill wildlife biologist while Jeremy is the volunteer president of Iowa’s Aldo Leopold chapter of Pheasants Forever.
Bird hunting can be lots of fun, but bird hunting in the snow can be epic. Not to mention, Brittany’s are some great bird dogs.
