The 100 Years War saw a lot of firsts, and instinctive archery wasn’t one of them. However, there were some major advancements. Do you know about them?

Whether you’re a history buff or just a fan of instinctive archery, you’ll enjoy this short clip from The History Channel showing just how much archery was used and was innovated and changed during the course of the 100 Years War. Plus, you get to see what kind of damage the bows and arrows of the war would do to opposing soliders.

It’s quite impressive, really, that wars were fought and won with these weapons. Of course today’s weapons are much more impressive and much more high-tech; but that means that to come out of those wars victorius and with your life meant being a lot closer and having an entirely different skill set than soliders today might have.
