Do Not Try This at Home: How 3 Pounds of Gunpowder Explodes

Three pounds of gunpowder makes for one massive explosion and one incredibly loud bang. Redneck fun at its finest!

If you have ever wondered to yourself, “What would happen if I placed a wick on three pounds of gunpowder and lit it?” you’re in for a treat.

Explosions are cool, but huge explosions like this one are awesome. This guy sets up a cylinder tube, places a three-pound package of gunpowder in it, lights the wick, and lets science do the rest.

Up, up, and away.

Before you get any wild ideas, make sure you are smart and safe when using explosives. Tannerite, dynamite, and makeshift gunpowder bombs should only be toyed with when you are very knowledgeable on the subjects.

That being said, be safe, have fun, and most importantly, film the explosion!
