Ready to Be Disgusted? Here’s a Bot Fly Crawling out of a Squirrel’s Neck

Be warned, this bot fly found on a hunter’s squirrel harvest is going to gross you out.

Straight out of the “Don’t Watch Before Lunch” department, this video will easily be the worst (and best) thing you see all day.

Warning: Not for the squeamish.

The video uploader said they were hunting squirrels when they noticed the fly, and ran to get the camera because they knew “what came next!”

A bot fly, or warble fly, starts life as an internal parasite larvae that makes its home inside the bodies of mammals. Some grow in the hosts’ gut, while others, like this little monster, reside in the flesh.

They don’t necessarily kill the host, but it’s still not something we’d ever wish on any living organism.
